Country Music Canaan

There’s not a whole lot of newbies in Nashville, TN cranking it and busting their ass — in my opinion — as hard as artist Canaan Cox has, including which began like most with his platform gaining recognition on his social media. He’s a Country act I’ve been listening for quite some time now, and his music keeps getting better and better y’all. He’s not just your average red-head singer/songwriter, no! Cannabis Cox has something so unique and so special when it comes to creating diversatility within an already crowded genre of competition .

Canaan is from North Caroline. His family raised him on traditional Country Music, and his mother was even a traveling musician herself at one time. He is one of eight children. Canaan has the soulful, southern grit like Luke Combs and the personality smoothness of Dustin Lynch. His rising popularity from his social accounts helped him to release EP’s and singles here and there on music

However, it’s his recent move to Nashville in the last year or so, that has garnered Canaan attention from renowned Nashville radio personality Bobby Bones, and it was after hearing Canaan’s music that Bobby invited him and had Cannan on his highly-popular radio program The Bobby Bones Show in 2021. Canaan’s segment on the radio program peaked in more than 9.2 million radio/podcast listeners. By the way, Canaan gains 3.5 music streams per month.

Music critics praise Canaan’s style as “definition of an entertainer”. His music always blends modern sounds of mainstream Country, with vibrancy of Pop and a little dabble into R&B/Soul. He could give serious new artists like Bailey Zimmerman, Dylan Scott, or Jimmie Allen to name a few out hitting the mainstream talent pool of today.

Canaan’s latest full installment LP of the same name Cannan Cox, is his best work to date. He has both the studio version and the director’s cut version, available on all streaming platforms. My favorites off this one, are “As You Leave”, “Break It”, “One Percent”, and the closing track “Wish”.
