Maestro Mario Bautista

Mexican-American artist Mario Bautista

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to enjoy or realize good music — no matter what genre it is, especially for me. I throughly enjoy all different kinds of music, and that also embraces Mexican-Pop music. Anytime I hear Latin music it makes me want to get up and dance, as Latin music has a great rhythm, beat, and spice to it that anyone like me can enjoy. From legend Latino male vocalists like Marc Anthony, to Latin stars of today like J Balvin, Maluma, Anthony Ramos, Luis Fonsi, Romeo Santos, among many others songs I enjoy… This kid right here, Mario Bautista, is one I’ve been listening to from time to time. Mario new material is engaging, and just overall FUN. And to add, Mario has a very mature, well-rounded tone for young 27 years of singing. His musical style combines that of Pop, Urban, and regional sounds.

Bautista hails from Mexico City, Mexico where he grew up in a musical family; his mother once a musician herself. He grew up in a household mostly on R&B, Mexicano, and Hip-Hop influences — (where he would one day incorporate that into his own musical style).

This young man gained notoriety, like all young Millennials, through his social media accounts like Vine and YouTube, posting sketch comedy at first — but then shortly after gaining more popularity in his hometown of Mexico with his own Pop and R&B music. During that time, Mario even earned the title of “Mexican Youth Star”. He signed with Warner Music Mexico (LAGOS, J Balvin) where he quickly released his first single in 2017, “Nos Digas Nada” that achieved the No. 1 spot on the Mexican iTunes Charts, becoming a smash hit in Mexico, following the rest of Latin America. He has released several singles, an EP, and two albums that have each been met with success from music critics, and fans alike. His musical artistry is a mixture of Pop, Latin trap, and reggaeton. And get this, Bautista has already performed with some of the biggest names in music alike, such as J Balvin and CNCO, to name a few. In 2018, after the release of his debut Otra Obrita, he was nominated for two MTV Europe Music Awards, and even performed around that same time at legendary places like the Apollo Theatre.

Overall, this kid has what it takes. He has released two successful albums, 2018’s Otra Obrita & 2022’s 5. Mario Bautista is already affirming right away that he’s not just a great talent, but a talent that is to be watched from here on out within the Latin music industry.
